• When should I start my application and when is the deadline for applications?

  Applications are completed during the fall/winter prior to your desired academic year of entry. For example, to apply for the 2023-2024 school year, you will complete your application in the fall/winter of 2022.

• How does OWO make admissions decisions?

  Admissions decisions are made after a careful review of a student’s application within the context of the applicant pool. The admissions process considers each applicant holistically, focusing on their ability to be successful in an online learning environment.

• What are the components of the application?

  You will find all the steps of our application process, along with information about all components of the application, on our How to Apply page.

• Will OWO request transcripts from my child’s school directly?

  No, families submit the records request to their current school.

• Can I submit more than one teacher recommendation?

  Please only submit what is required of you for teacher evaluations and personal reference forms. 

• How many students does Open Window Online accept into the program?

  The Open Window Online program will have a maximum of 30 students across fourth and fifth grade during our pilot year of 2023-2024.

• When are admissions decisions released?

  Initial admissions decisions will be released on March 17, 2023. Rolling admissions decisions will continue to be made after March 17 until the program is full.

• How do I check on the status of my application?

  Login to your Ravenna account to check on the status of your application. You can see which pieces of the application have been submitted and which are still outstanding. This is also where OWO will publish admissions decisions.

• Is Financial Aid available?

  During our pilot years of Open Window Online, we will not have financial aid available.
